Building Automation

Building automation is one of the most important target markets for the microNet. In this market the technical advantages of microNet can be used to achieve optimum commercial benefits for building owners and facility managers. These advantages are primarily:
  • Low costs of connecting field devices to microNet (few Euros per device)

  • The free and flexible programming of microNet devices (ANSI C, C++ or Python)

  • The pervasive interoperability of microNet devices and external devices, achieved by three components:

  • o Pyxos™ transceiver (Manufacturer: Echelon Corporation, San Jose, CA)
o microNet Electronic Datasheet (mEDS) based on the IEEE 1451 standard
o microX.driver, including the microNet protocol and the API.

  • The free and elegant programming of functional controls using CoDeSys (IEC 61131-3), C++ or Python

  • The scalability of functional controls via Ethernet and Internet (microWeb)

  • A single web-based tool, easy to learn and intuitively to operate (microX.commander) for both microNet and microWeb
